ITALY FOR CHRIST MISSION Serving in Italy Since 1971
In January of 1996, the Lord led the Wolsieffers to an old Italian farmhouse located in the middle of an olive grove. Approximately 11,000 square feet of space is available for a Christian resource/training/counseling center. All activities and projects for this center, called "Risorse del Levante" (Resources on the Horizon), are coordinated to be a part of their overall strategy plan for evangelism.

Since 1996, 102 participants from 14 different cities have completed 116 hours of seminar instruction in basic people helping skills.
In 1997, Mark and Lisa Pruden from Cincinnati, OH made their third short-term mission trip to give advanced seminar training.
As part of our outreach ministry, the center has been training health care workers and case workers in listening skills since January of 1999.
The local chapter of the Red Cross of Francavilla completed 12 hours of listening skills at the center in July of 2000.
In addition numerous individuals come to the center for counseling and we have worked with local government organizations and qualified specialists in cases of suspected sexual abuse.
We also organize youth meetings and children's activities for area churches.
Future Projects:
- involve stateside preachers, elders, deacons and college professors in short-term mission trips. We need intense and frequent classes for elder, deacon, leadership training; church doctrine; systematic theology.
- expand the library facilites (audio/video) for continued Christian education
- offer year-round spiritual retreats for children and young people
- offer premarital and marital retreats for couples
- offer special camps for children and young people who have been abused or who suffer from the consequences of divorce, illnesses, or disabilities
- create a “dream park” with special playground equipment for those with disabilities.
- Reactivate "UPPO", the telephone ministry
