The Onarga Christian Church family is excited about plans to build a new place of worship. The church purchased 5½ acres of land on West Seminary Avenue, one block south of Durham Park. This fall we will begin construction of a steel building with 5,400 square feet of space for worship and education.

The building will be constructed with no steps, easily accessible by all. With excellent insulation and ample heating and cooling, the building will be comfortable year-round. We plan to provide six classrooms, plus a nursery room for infants and toddlers. Our church office will be just inside the main entrance. The kitchen is being designed for the ease and comfort of those who use it most.

We will conduct a special groundbreaking ceremony in August. We invite the community to walk through the building layout on that day, as we will provide a life-size floor plan at the building site during the ceremony.
